Classy local veteran Temple Of Boom placed a credible sixth in the Group 2 Victory Stakes (1200m) first-up a fortnight ago and is offered a great chance for a return to the winner’s circle in the 2015 BTC Cup from barrier 6.

A Group 1 winner having taken out the 2012 edition of The Galaxy (1100m), Temple Of Boom returning to exceptional condition through the 2014 Brisbane Carnival; taking out the Victory Stakes and running fourth in the BTC Cup before finishing a close second in each of the Group 1 Doomben 10,000 (1350m) and Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap (1400m).

Confirmed to be partnered by regular jockey Tegan Harrison, Temple Of Boom’s forward style is sure to play into his strengths at Doomben again this weekend.

Trust In A Gust has been confirmed to retire into a stud career following the Brisbane Winter Carnival and is offered a great opportunity to post a third Group 1 victory in the 2015 BTC Cup from barrier 3.

Undoubtedly posting career-best form to date over the 2014 Spring Carnival, the son of Keep The Faith ran second in the Listed Drummond Golf Stakes (1200m) before taking out each of the Group 1 Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes (1400m) and Group 1 Toorak Handicap (1600m).

Having run second in his racing return on April 18th, Trust In A Gust is the highest rated horse confirmed for the 2015 BTC Cup and is sure to lay a great account for himself.

Srikandi was one of the Winter Carnival’s standouts in 2014, is treated well in the weights but will need some luck in running in the BTC Cup after drawing barrier 11.

Yet to finish outside the first three over her nine career starts, the Dubawi mare won each of the Listed Silk Stocking (1200m), Listed Juanmo Stakes (1200m) and Group 3 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) on her way to a commendable third in the Stradbroke Handicap.

Hitting the line a comfortable length in the clear in the Victory Stakes first-up a fortnight ago, Srikandi’s chances are sure to boosted by last start jockey Damian Browne in the 2015 BTC Cup.

Several talented three-year-olds have been confirmed to contest the 2015 BTC Cup, including Scissor Kick and Bring Me The Maid.

Unlucky not to post a Group 1 victory over a spring preparation highlighted by a close second in the Golden Rose Stakes (1400m), Scissor Kick returned this year for success in the Group 3 Eskimo Prince Stakes (1200m) on February 7th before a luckless run for fifth when blocked for a run in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m).

Having received a brief freshen-up, the Redoute’s Choice colt boxed on for fourth amongst open company in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) last time out and is sure to receive a gem of a ride from Tye Angland, from the ideal barrier 4.

Bring Me The Maid stamped her claims as one to watch over an outstanding two-year-old campaign highlighted by success in the Group 2 Magic Night Stakes (1200m) and third in the major Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m).

While unable to make much of an impact over the Spring Carnival, Bring Me The Maid returned this time for second in the Group 2 Arrrowfield Sprint (1200m) on April 11th and will contest the 2015 BTC Cup with a race-low 55kgs.
